This is great. I know VERY little about wine (give me a glass of Riesling and I'm set), and I envy those who have an understanding of it. Meet Laura Maniec, who is currently the world's youngest female Master Sommelier. (Note: sommelier = someone who knows their ish when it comes to wine.) At 33 years old, she is owner of Corkbuzz Wine Studio and has gone through extensive training and examinations to hold her title. Since its inception, only 197 people worldwide have held the title of Master Sommelier; only 18 of them are women, and Laura is the youngest. A quick google search will tell you that she is heralded and respected in the industry. And my thought is, if she's done this much with her passion at only 33... so what on earth will she do next? Laura Maniec, you are my Badass Chick of the day!
