Check out Carol Magee and the rest of her nursing team at Penn State's Hershey Children's Hospital. Not only are they busy tending to their patients, but they also tried their hand at wedding planning! Here's what happened: Carol and her fellow Badass Chicks were tending to a 19-year-old leukemia patient named Courtney. Courtney was engaged to a guy named Scott, and they decided, after much waiting, that they finally wanted to tie the knot. As you can imagine, planning a wedding and physically getting married isn't very easy when you are in a hospital and have a chemo schedule to tend to, so the nurses stepped in. Carol and her team organized Courtney's whole wedding, including invitations, location, catering, rings, tuxedos, etc. They even arranged for a getaway car to take the newlyweds on a very short honeymoon! It was a beautiful wedding. Less than a month later, Courtney lost her battle to leukemia I think that the entire nursing staff at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital are such Badass Chicks for making Courtney and Scott's dreams come true with the time that Courtney had left. Read more about ALL of these Badass Chicks, Courtney of COURSE included, here.
