Check out Beth Howard. She's done everything under the sun, from being on the PR team that launched the original "90210" series to writing for Elle, Sports Illustrated and Shape Magazines... and now, to baking pies. The reason why Beth is a Badass Chick is because she traveled from her home in Iowa (fun fact: she lives in the American Gothic House... yes, the famous house that is behind the "pitchfork couple" in Grant Wood's painting) all the way to Newtown, CT to bake pies for the Newtown community. Beth's husband passed away a few years ago and she became acutely aware of how a simple apple pie could help ease the grief just a little bit. So when she heard the news last Friday, she hopped in an RV, drove across the country, and is currently baking pies in CT for the victims' families and the grieving community as a whole.
