I am a HUGE Game of Thrones fan. I jumped into the series at the beginning of Season 2, loved it, then read the books while going back and watching Season 1. They are truly some of the best books I have ever read, and while the show doesn't (or hasn't yet) matched the greatness of the books, it is still my number one show to watch. I absolutly loved Season 3, and even though they strayed from the books a lot, I can't deny that several parts were a lot better in the show. It wasn't all that long ago we got casting news on who is going to be Oberyn Martel, also known as the Red Viper, in Season 4. I am so excited to watch his arc next season, while I won't spoil it, I will say that it is exciting (and a little surprising). We now know that someone else has been cast for Season 4, though we don't know who:
Even though we haven't been told who he is yet, the smart money is on Mace Tyrell or Magnar of Thenn. I'm thinking that it is more likely to be Mace, because I just don't think that Mark is built enough to play a strong Wildling leader. But I of course can't say for sure. You might recognize him as Sherlock's brother Mycroft in the show Sherlock, where he is brilliant. Other than that however, he hasn't done anything that notable. He was a guest star in a couple of episodes of Doctor Who and was in a few animated movies, which to me isn't all that impressive ( sorry). But Peter Dinklage wasn't in anything amazing when he got the role of Tyrion, and look how that turned out. The next 10 or so months couldn't go by fast enough.
