Peter Copali! No, I hadn't heard of him either. He is famous for his role on In the Loop and The Thick of It, where he plays a politician with a bad mouth. I just started watching In the Loop last night, and wow is it funny. He was also in the Doctor Who episode The Fires of Pompei, where he played the father who the Doctor saves from dying in a volcanic eruption. While I think he looks the part and I have high hopes for him, he didn't really impress me in his interview on BBC when they announced he would play the new Doctor. He basically looked like a suck-up the entire time, with his comments about how "Doctor Who is everyone's" and "I'm starting to see the Doctor in the mirror. He isn't me yet, but I can see him forming." Sounds like nonsense to me. But I think he could be great for the show. Now if only we could get rid of Moffat.
