According to a new study, good-looking guys make an average of 22% more than "average-looking" guys! This begs the question: Are they making more money because they're handsome? Or are they handsome because they're making more money? After all, sometimes it takes money to look good... and a nice haircut and stylish clothes could go a long way (if you can afford it).
My other thought is that perhaps the "type" of guy who cares about his appearance also tends to be the type of guy who is driven and cares about his career... perhaps he compartmentalizes his self-worth in good-looks and high-salary. This could all just stem from personality traits. What do YOU think?
No word if the study also did a douche-bag to hottness correlation. My guess is that the better looking guys are, the more money they make, AND (probably) the more self-centered they are. But hey, apparentyl they can afford it...
And by the way, this study also found that surprisingly, there is no correlation between looks and salary for women.
