Allegedly, a mass school shooting was avoided at The University of Central Florida on Monday when a former student was found dead in his dorm. It has been concluded that the student committed suicide.
Found next to his body were large amounts of weapons and a backpack filled with bombs. The dead man has been identified as 30 year old James Oliver Seevakumaran. He had been a student at the school from the fall of 2010 until last fall, but did not enroll for Spring semester and had actually been evicted from the dorm where he lived.
UCF police chief, Richard Beary stated "While the crime scene processing was under way in that room, we found some notes and some writings that indicated that this was a planned attack."
Police believe that Seevakumaran shot himself in the head with a handgun.
