The Amanda Bynes Saga continues! When Amanda went on a rant, saying that she wanted to be a rapper, most people scoffed and added it to the list of crazy things Amanda has said recently. But not Wyclef Jean (Famous hip Hop artist and producer). He, apparently sees something in her and plans to produce her first single! Is he just capitalizing on the crazy attention she's getting? Or does he truly believe in her talent? Either way, work is set to start later this week.

A source says, "This is something very special. Wyclef is familiar with Amanda's talent and sound, so it only makes sense to have her sit down with someone of his caliber. They’re envisioning something similar to Wyclef's production of Lil Wayne's 'Sweetest Girl.' "

AND maybe Amanda isn't really crazy at all. Maybe she knows EXACTLY what she's doing. Allegedly, she texted her friend last week saying that "it's all an act." This is what the text supposedly said:

"All this has been an act and you know it! I am an actress and know what I am doing. I got to two million [Twitter] followers and now everyone wants me. I am smart and not stupid. Everyone mentions my name. The world loves me!"

Hmmm.... I'm not sure if I believe that. Could she really have been SO DESPARATE for attention that she made herself out to be a crazy mess?

UPDATE: So, it just came out that the accuser, Leyla Ghobadi has a budding music career and is in the process of marketing herself and her music... which leads me to think that there's a PRETTY good chance that the cheating scandal is a fabricated lie - just a lame attempt at getting some fame. If you ask me, I'd be LESS likely to buy any of her music, now that I think she's so slimy. What do you think? Do you still believe her? And was this a good or bad way to get attention?

Poor Amanda Bynes... lately it's been one crazy mishap after another for her. But one of her friends is sticking up for her and saying she's "totally sane." Remember Drake Bell from the show Drake and Josh? Well here's what he had to say:

"Amanda and I are close… I talk to her every day. She’s a sweetheart. I had lunch with her yesterday, and she’s brilliant. She’s good and she’s healthy. Anytime I’ve ever been with Amanda, she’s totally coherent, totally there, totally everything.”

I'm actually glad to hear someone say that. I've always liked Amanda and while it still sucks for her, part of me HOPES that all her recent craziness has just been blown out of proportion. But then when I think about all the pictures I've seen and her crazy tweets... I find it hard to believe that everything is actually okay.

Drake went on to say:

"I’m like, ‘Dude, you come off crazy.’ She’s like, ‘I know, but I don’t mean to. I just changed the way I look.'"

Hopefully things start to change for the better for Amanda. Allegedly her parents are telling media outlets that she showed signs of schizophrenia growing up and they think that is what is causing her recent issues. But Amanda, who does not really talk to her parents, say that they are liars who steal money from her. Poor Amanda.

Actor Michael Douglas successfully gave us all the heebeegeebies when he said in an interview that his throat cancer was caused by being... let's call it... "a generous mouth lover." 

Basically, he was asked if he regretted all the smoking and drinking he did (as both seem to be major probable causes for his ailment) to which he replied:

"No. Because without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus."

He had more to say, but I'm sure that you are now sufficiently GROSSED OUT by whatever image popped into your head already. Not suprisingly, there was a lot of criticism about his comment to which his Rep replied with:

"He did not say this was THE cause of his cancer. In a discussion of oral cancer, he said this is one of the SUSPECTED causes. He never made it personal." (E! News)

According to the Centers for Disease Control an Prevention, about 7,400 cases of oropharyngeal cancers diagnosed in the US per year are thought to be caused by HPV, but this cannot be proven for certain. It is impossible for doctors to ever say what has caused a person's cancer with complete certainty. (nbcnews.com)

Maybe my fear of bees was instilled in me after Thomas J. died trying to recover that mood ring in the movie "My Girl." Am I dating myself with that movie reference? Maybe. But I think it says something that I still clearly remember a horrifying scene from a movie I haven't seen in years because I was so affected by the idea of being stung to death.

I also think many people would say that "being stung to death by bees" is their biggest fear... but it doesn't really happen all that often. So when it does happen, it seems exceptionally tragic and horrifying. This news clip definitely felt like a scene out of a horror movie. A family in Texas is now mourning the loss of a father and husband.
