"Did Mom finish?"

That's the first thing 12 year old Aaron Hern asked when he woke up between surgeries for his severe leg injury after the Boston bombings. He was waiting near the finish line to watch his mom finish when the blasts went off. He is one of 11 children who were admitted to the hospital for injuries. Aaron is scheduled to undergo another leg surgery today.

A family friend said that Aaron continuously slips in and out of consciousness and they have to continuously tell him that his mom finished and that everyone is okay. I guess Aaron is worried about all the other people who are hurt. His family is trying to downplay the events for him. It's sad that kids that young now have worries that big.

Krystle Campbell is one of the 3 people who passed away because of the Boston Bombing. What's worse, is that her family thought she had survived up until the moment doctors let them in a hospital room to visit with the girl they believed to be Krystle.

 The family said they were told by doctors that Krystle had survived, but that she might lose a leg. When they were allowed in to visit, they did not find their daughter. Instead, they found their daughter's friend - who attended the race with her. Her friend had been carrying something with Krystle's name on it, so doctors assumed that's who she was.

A Facebook page has been created in memory of Krystle. I already has more than 61,000 likes. The thousands of comments attest to what a wonderful person Krystle was. You can find the page here.

Bullying sucks. I'm not a parent, but I've tried to think about what I would do if one day, I had a child and they came home from school crying because someone bullied them. I honestly don't know. But I am very inspired and proud of Matthew Bent. A Wisconsin Dad who's son Shilo ran into problems at school. When the school district and the cops allegedly did NOTHING to stop the bullying, this is what Matthew he posted to Facebook... and it has since gone viral, with hundreds of thousands of "likes" and "shares:"

Matthew posted a picture of himself on Facebook, standing behind Shiloh and holding a handwritten sign that reads,

“I stand behind my son in the fight against bullying. Please ‘like’ and ‘share’ to send a message loud and clear that bullying needs to stop now. Tell school districts that protecting bullies by turning a blind eye is wrong. Shame on Kaukauna area schools for protecting a bully in their school.’’

8 year old Martin Richards. Killed in the Boston Marathon explosions. His mother was also injusred and is recovering from surgery on her brain. His sister is also recovering from surgery. She lost a leg. The 3 of them were waiting to see their father run across the finish line. Someone messaged me about their lost beagle. I'm an animal LOVER so I feel terrible that this dog is lost. Just thought I'd post a quick note in case anyone sees him!

He was seen last Friday night between County Road M & High Point Road. He might have moved on from that area, but hey - it's a starting point.

I guess he's pretty shy, so don't approach him. If you see him, you may call Holly at 608-669-6957 or Wendy at 608-293-2424 (immediately).

He was spotted on Monday night near the "TV tower" off Pleasant View Road and the west side of Elver Park, but I guess no one was able to catch up to him.
