As I wandered around the Third Ward last weekend I stumbled upon the Skylight Theater, which was advertising Avenue Q, a musical (for grown-ups) that I have memorized without ever seeing. 

So I dug into the Skylight Music Theatre and was impressed by what I found. I reached out to the crew at the theater and learned that they also happened to be announcing their new artistic director. I really enjoyed the interviews so want to share them with you--a nice way to ease into the weekend since the movies that are coming out stink on ice. 

First, the outgoing artistic director Bill Theisen on the new fall season (and our shared appreciation for Avenue Q):

I was extremely impressed by these folks and look forward to working with them more in the future.
